Frederick County, in the US State of Maryland, is equipping 40 of its yellow school buses with a new CrossSafe video enforcement system, developed by Xerox, to record drivers illegally overtaking stopped school buses. Two high-resolution cameras, one facing forward, the other rearward, sit inside an accessible housing, attached to the exterior bodywork of the school bus with a clear view of its warning stop arm.
