The Government received 605 claims to its Plug-in car grant scheme in the period July to the end of September, taking the total number of claims received to 2,311 since the scheme was launched on 1 January last year. The grant provides 25% towards the cost of a vehicle, up to a maximum of £5,000, for customers purchasing ‘ultra-low emission cars’.
