Transport for London plans to place orders for 600 of the New Bus for London, with delivery beginning next year and ending in April 2016.
Northern Ireland bus manufacturer Wrightbus has already delivered eight of the hybrid vehicles, which were the brainchild of London mayor Boris Johnson. A further 93 should be delivered next year, followed by 208 in 2014, 247 in 2015 and 52 in 2016.
