I must take issue with your news article and comment piece (Transit, February 15) that suggest the Department for Transport has not negotiated a good deal with Virgin Trains.
The franchise deal between ourselves and DfT ensures a return for both parties if we are successful in growing our business, which we have been. Your table states that we pay more in revenue share to the government than any other train operator, and this will continue.
