South Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority this week brought an end to its investigation of bus Quality Contracts for Sheffield as the Labour-controlled authority approved a new voluntary partnership with operators.

SYITA’s decision to embrace partnership working is in contrast to neighbouring West Yorkshire ITA, which rejected partnership working in June and is now pursuing the country’s first QC scheme (LTT 22 Jun).
