Bus use up by 2.3% outside London

bus patronage in the UK rose by 3.6% from last year, almost double the increase previously, according to the latest Transport Statistics for Great Britain by the Department for Transport.

The statistics show that last year  181 million more journeys were made on local bus services compared to the previous year, with use in London growing by 5.6% and accounting for 40% of all bus use in England.
