Last time, if you recall, I wrote about parking in the context of the Portas Review of the Future of our High Streets. Specifically, I examined the adherence of so many, including her Queen-of-Shopsness, to the belief that more and cheaper parking is needed for high streets to thrive. This despite there being precious little evidence, if any, that justifies such a belief. But then, who cares about evidence when our instincts tell us it must be true?
