First TransPennine Express (FTPE) has become the first train operator in the country to give customers direct access to station, train control and revenue protection staff via twitter, rather than directing enquiries to corporate call centres.
The new @tpeassist twitter account will enable customers’ tweets to be answered directly by staff who have specialist knowledge and who are dealing with situations on the ground as they develop.
