Richard Cuthbert has resigned as chief executive of Mouchel after an actuarial error was revealed which will significantly reduce a one-off gain from one of its long term contracts by £4.3m. The group had previously reported that results for 2010/2011 would benefit from the one-off gain which had been expected to “offset lower profitability than originally expected following commercial conclusions on a number of contracts”.
