Atkins has made a significant breakthrough in Norway, winning one of the main design contracts for the Follo line, a 22 km new double-track railway from Oslo to the town of Ski. The contract, won in partnership with Norwegian engineering consultancy Aas Jakobsen, covers the area of Oslo Central station.
“This is a step forward in our ambition to become a significant player in the Norwegian signalling market,” Håkon Dragsund, head of Atkins Norway, said.
