Private sector consultants have been appointed to project manage the completion of Edinburgh’s troubled tram scheme.
The appointment of Turner and Townsend spells the death knell for Transport Initiatives Edinburgh (tie), the council’s arms-length tram delivery company. Tie has been widely blamed for many of the problems that have beset the project.
