Car rental company Hertz has launched an embryonic electric bicycle hire scheme from its Marble Arch branch in central London. A total of 12 electric bikes capable of travelling at up to 15mph are available for hire for £20 a day, for which a user gets a bike, a charger that can be plugged into any mains electricity socket, a lock, a helmet and a guide to cycle routes in London.
