Design priorities and processes set out in new guide

Station designs need to cater for a broad range of activities and should be resilient to the changing conditions experienced within a station, both during the operational day and throughout the year, says Network Rail’s new Guide to Station Planning and Design which will be published in early July. Depending on context, station design may also need to accommodate a range of different operational scenarios, such as major events, changes to service, or adverse weather conditions.
