The Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) has won a £3.6m government grant to help fund a network of electric vehicle charging points.
Dave Goddard, leader of Stockport Council and chair of AGMA, said 300 EV points will have been installed by April 2013 by a new company established with partners. He said: “Early demand is likely to come from businesses which operate fleets.
