The Borough of Poole Council is trialling a new way for people to get information about when the next bus will arrive at a stop.
French-based IT firm Connecthings has installed contactless communication technology at ten bus stops in the borough enabling passengers to access the Traveline website when a phone is placed within two centimetres of the sign.
The system uses near field communication (NFC) technology that is currently only available in the Samsung Nexus S Google smart phone....
