Charging starts at Lake District car parks

Parking changes are to be introduced at four Lake District car parks. A meeting of the Lake District National Park Authority (LDPNA) on 19 January agreed that tariffs were necessary at High Dam in Finsthwaite, Station Coppice at Thirlmere, Ravenglass and Hammarbank because of a cut in its annual grant from central government.
