Bypass plans for Welsh town revealed

New plans to relieve traffic congestion in the mid-Wales town of Newtown were published this week by transport minister Ieuan Wyn Jones. Following public consultation, Jones announced that the Welsh Assembly Government would promote a southerly A483 bypass of the town south of Mochdre Industrial Estate and passing beneath the Cambrian railway line east of Dyffryn Industrial Estate.
