Start date nears for ‘New South London Line’

Construction of a new rail link in South London could start before the end of the year.

The ‘New South London Line’ is the new name for the East London Line Phase 2. The project will create a new 2.5km line between Surrey Quays, on the recently re-opened East London Line, and Queen’s Road Peckham, enabling trains to operate from the East London Line to Clapham Junction. TfL is currently procurement the project.
