Planning body reaches end of road

The Government will retain a fast-track decision-making process for major infrastructure projects in England, despite scrapping the Infrastructure Planning Commission, decentralisation minister Greg Clark has said. Clark said the recently created IPC would be replaced by a system in which ministers, rather than commissioners, took the final decisions on new infrastructure projects.
