The European Commission must urgently identify applications for its Galileo satellite navigation system, according to a new report for the DfT.
Consultant Helios says the need to identify purposes for the Galileo commercial service has now “become urgent”.
Although many suggestions for the commercial service have already been made, Helios says they are still at the concept stage and their technical feasibility and market potential are “largely unknown”.
