London’s cycle superhighways

Work to install the first two pilot routes of London’s cycle superhighways network began this week. The pilots (coloured red on the map) comprise a 12km route from Merton to the City via the A24 and the A3, and a 12km route from Barking to Tower Gateway via the A13 and Cable Street. Resurfacing work near Westferry DLR station is being carried out and Transport for London will also shortly trial new continuous cycle lanes through three junctions on the Merton to the City route.
