York Hospital multi-storey plan gets approval

Plans for a multi-storey car park at York Hospital have been approved. York Hospital NHS foundation Trust intends to borrow around £5m to build the car park. The Trust’s deputy chief executive Mike Proctor said that while revenue from parking charges would help underpin the scheme, it would not be jeopardised by new government plans for free parking to in-patients or those visiting them.
