Stephen Simmonett, car parks operations manager at Cambridge City Council, died on 30 June after a short illness.
Simmonett, 54, had worked for the council for almost eight years after a career including the Artillery Corp in Germany and management roles at courier DHL, Cambridge.
He leaves a wife, Pam, daughter, Kirsty and sons, Dan and Ben.
