Police officers told not to abuse store bays

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has reprimanded two officers for misusing specialised bays at supermarkets. Both incidents were photographed by members of the public.

One officer has been rebuked for parking his police van in a disabled bay at an ASDA supermarket car park in Rochdale on the 30 March. ASDA introduced a policy of on-the-spot fines for those abusing disabled spaces across its UK stores in February. Monies raised from such fines are donated to Motability, a national disabled...
