Nottingham pushing for workplace parking levy

All businesses in Nottingham with more than 10 parking spaces will have to pay a workplace parking levy (WPL) under new proposals from the city council. A 12-week consultation on the proposals runs until 12 October. This includes a public examination to investigate the transport, economic and operation implications of the scheme. The session will assess exemptions and discounts, and also consider alternatives to the levy such as road user charging.
