Creating an underground car park on the banks of the Thames has required innovative engineering solutions.

The car park is part of the Bridges Wharf development being built by Weston Homes adjacent to the London Heliport in Battersea, London.

Being built on a high water table next to the river means that it is imperative water is prevented from ingressing into the basement parking areas. Consulting engineers Train and Kemp specified the use of the Sika Watertight Concrete system. This was felt...
