New forms of electric personal vehicles (EPVs) could take to the UK’s roads under actions issued for consultation by the DfT this week.
“New technologies can offer new opportunities,” said transport secretary Lord Adonis, launching a consultation on whether the law should be changed to permit EPVs such as Segway Personal Transporters (pictured) and other self-balancing scooters on roads and cycle tracks.
