French group Transdev has been axed from the Edinburgh tram project as part of a drive to cut costs on the troubled £500m project.
Transdev was hired more than five years ago to operate the Scottish capital’s light rail network, but the job has now been brought in house by the council as part of a programme of “logistical and financial efficiencies”.
