Commission questions street lighting benefits

The Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution has questioned whether all lighting on  roads can be justified.

Launching a new report on the topic, chair Sir John Lawton said: “We heard evidence that more light isn’t always better in terms of reducing the incidence of road traffic accidents.”
