‘Robocop’ mayor angered by Redcar’s rejection of bypass plan

Middlesbrough’s directly elected mayor, Ray Mallon, and neighbouring Redcar & Cleveland Council are embroiled in a furious spat about the former’s plan to revive the cross-boundary East Middlesbrough bypass project.
