Nexus and local authorities in the north-east of England are in discussions about plans to fund a smart ticketing infrastructure for the region.
Nexus director of strategy, Tobyn Hughes, told LTT: “This project is not about an individual ticket or smart product but about creating an ITSO-compliant infrastructure that could be used on all local transport modes, and also in public services far beyond transport when technology allows.
