Montreal’s BIXI bikes are on the way to London

£140m cycle hire contract goes to BIXI and Serco, but could vandalism dog the scheme?

Transport for London has announced that a consortium made up of Serco and BIXI, the publicly-owned operator of Montreal’s public cycle rental scheme, has been awarded the £140m six-year contract to design, build and operate London’s cycle hire scheme.
