Metroline and Quality Line retain contracts in latest London bus tenders

Transport for London today announced new contracts for two bus routes in the capital. Both of the awards are on the basis of conventional diesel-engined vehicles rather than hybrids.

Route 46 (Lancaster Gate Station to Farringdon Street). Re-awarded to Metroline on the basis of a peak vehicle requirement of 17 new single deck vehicles. The new contract will commence in May 2010, although existing vehicles will be used until 2012.
