2009 will be a landmark year in the development of Bus Rapid Transit in the UK. The 40km Cambridgeshire Guided Busway, which will link Cambridge to St Ives, will open with 25 kilometres of guided busway, more than twice as long as than all other guided busways in the UK laid end to end.
