Transport minister Paul Clark has announced a new round of Kickstart funding for new bus schemes around the country. Local authorities are being asked by the Department for Transport to submit applications for a share of £25m in funding.
The new funding round, applications for which close on July 3, will be the first to use the new powers contained within the Local Transport Act. Successful schemes will be announced in the Autumn.
