Work starts on London BRT

Construction work commenced this week in Barking town centre on the first phase of the East London Transit bus rapid transit scheme.

It has also been announced that an additional £18.5m has been found to fund the extension of the system between Ilford and Barking to Dagenham Dock in support of local regeneration initiatives.
