Assembly calls for Dial- A-Ride investigation

London Assembly this week agreed a motion calling for both a review of the Dial-A-Ride service and the way the Taxicard scheme is funded. The motion is a response to a continuing volume of complaints about door-to-door transport schemes from users who have suffered lengthy waits or been left stranded in unsafe locations. The Assembly has also criticised mayor Boris Johnson for capping Taxicard funding at £12.7m a year....
