The A68 Dalkeith Northern bypass has been officially opened. A 5.4km single carriageway road diverges from the existing A68 at Fordel Mains, where a grade separated junction has been built, and runs north-west to join the A720 Edinburgh bypass near Newton House, where a 'dumbbell' junction has been built.
