Bus lane offenses cut by 25% in Manchester

Cctv cameras have cut the problem of motorists illegally using bus lanes in Manchester by about 25%, with the number of offences dropping from an average of 44 an hour to 33.

Manchester City Council have set up the cameras, both static and one mobile, in 25 of the bus lanes on major corridors in the city and those caught driving or parking in them face an immediate  £60 fine.
