Bus operators will be billed hundreds of pounds for updated information each time they change a commercial route mid-term under new rules devised by a handful of Welsh local authorities.

Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey councils consulted earlier this year on a Bus Information Strategy and say the Transport Act 2000 entitles them to charge operators for costs arising from changes to commercial services during the summer or winter timetables.
