Jenny Jones of the Green Party is spot on with her plans for making London a good place to walk and cycle in (Viewpoint LTT 20 Dec). But her thinking seems to have stopped there. What could be nicer than walking in extended pedestrian areas or cycling along safe paths through the city? But it will not be so much fun if pedestrians and cyclists have to try and dodge the bendibuses and the air is thick with the fumes from diesel-powered public transport. Surely it is time now to recognise that...
