M25 junction 1b to 3 widening, Kent

Work is due to start next week on widening the M25 from junction 1b to junction 3. The section of motorway between junctions 2 and 3 will be widened from dual three-lanes to dual four-lanes. The new lanes will use the existing hard shoulder and new hard shoulders will be built except under bridges. Between junctions 1b and 2 the motorway will be widened from dual two-lanes to dual three-lanes.
