Worcestershire's bee-friendly bus shelter

A bus shelter roof has been planted with a selection of sedum by Worcestershire County Council in a bid to increase wildlife in the area.

The plants also absorb CO2 and filter fine dust particles and so help to purify air, cutting pollution levels.

The shelter, at the Whites Road stop on Malvern Road is the first in the country installed designed to attract bees and other pollinating insects.
