Dundee City Council has approved plans today to build a strategic cycle network across the city.
The cycling strategy recommends a re-profiling of the council’s revenue and capital expenditure to ensure cycling and walking attracts a minimum 5% share of total roads and transportation expenditure. Extra funding will come from the city’s overall capital and revenue budgets supplemented by external funding from the Scottish government and other sources.
