Halton agrees eight-month contract

Halton Council has agreed to waiver its procurement standing orders so it can continue to deliver highway improvements after a contract expires in July, eight months before a new contract is due to start. The council last summer extended the contract with Lambros Paving Contractors for the maximum allowed period.
