New leaders for Merseytravel and Centro

Liverpool city councillor Liam Robinson has been appointed chairman of Merseytravel, replacing Sefton councillor Mark Dowd. Robinson was station manager at Liverpool Lime Street but has resigned from Network Rail to concentrate on the ITA job. Coventry city councillor John McNicholas has been appointed chairman of Centro, the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority. He succeeds Angus Adams, who died earlier this year.
