Scrap free bus travel for kids, Boris – it’s fueling obesity

Two issues ago you reported on Julian Glover’s recent opinion piece in The Guardian proposing the scrapping of concessionary bus fares for the over 60s. As a London borough-based school travel adviser, I don’t hold a view on that, but I would urge TfL to scrap concessionary bus fares for children in London – perhaps with the exception of those who live over two or three miles from their schools or colleges.
