Politicians should abandon cheap bus travel plan for school kids

My heart sank when I read that Roger Jones, the chairman of Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority, is proposing a 50p flat fare for children in education.

Firstly, I have visions of rush-hour buses crammed full of ill-behaved schoolchildren (already a major problem in London).
