The demand for bus travel has steadily increased from the lows seen during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in April, with demand standing at around 60% of expected levels. UK administrations have provided funding to maintain bus services at broadly pre-Covid levels, increasing the level of control they exert over them in return for additional funding.
Meanwhile new restrictions on people’s work and leisure activity are likely to set back the recovery of the market for bus travel.
This webinar will discuss the current impact on bus operators and local authorities and ask what implications this might have on the future of the industry, how sustainable the current situation is and what it means for the future of bus travel in the UK.
Our expert speakers include:
Alex Hornby, CEO, Transdev Blazefield
Matt Gamble, Principal Consultant, Atkins Global
John Carr, BRTuk
The webinar will be chaired by Alan Bailes, Chairman of BRTuk
The webinar will be concluded by an interactive panel discussion with questions from delegates.
