Easee One

Scottish Power is offering drivers Norwegian-made Easee chargers.

The Easee One is a compact unit that works over Wi-Fi. There are two options available as part of the Easee bundle: a tethered or untethered unit. Both will be installed by a nationwide team of OZEV?accredited experts.

By purchasing an Easee One home charger from ScottishPower, customers can access an exclusive charging rate of 6p per kWh for a whole year by bolting on EV Optimise, a smart charging add-on, to their existing ScottishPower tariff.

With this exclusive EV Optimise rate, users of a 60kWh-capacity EV who are charging from 20% to 80% once a week could save up to 78% on their charging bill (decreasing from £518.44 to £112.32 based on the current energy cap price).

Sam Levy, regional sales director for the UK & Ireland at Easee, said: “Electrification only works if the industry works together. This partnership with ScottishPower shows what’s possible when smart charging technology and energy supply are designed to work in sync. By bundling our Easee One charger with access to a genuinely low-cost smart tariff, we’re helping reduce the cost of EV ownership while making intelligent charging the easy, default option for drivers.”

Rozlyn Brennan, director of smart solutions of ScottishPower, added: “Making EV ownership more accessible requires collaboration across the sector. By combining our EV Optimise add-on with Easee’s smart charging technology, we’re helping customers benefit from lower-cost charging while supporting smarter use of the energy system. Partnerships like this are an important step in delivering better value and a smoother experience for EV drivers.”
